Drop-in at The Loft is our amazing youth centre that allows a place for youth (in School Years 9 and up), to come and hang out for FREE! We also offer a separate Year 7 & 8 night every Thursday during term time.
hours:
Feel free to drop in after school, we’re open 3:00pm – 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 3.00pm – 5pm Friday, at 4a/15 Red Oaks Drive, Frankton (above Chipmunks).
We are open during school term only, but you are also welcome to join us for our holiday programmes.
drop-in structure:
This means that although we have staff and volunteers on the premise at all times, youth are able to come and go as they please. Due to limited staffing, we are unable to monitor youth once they leave the premise. We recommend that all youth who visit to complete a membership form and to have a discussion with their parents/guardians so that they are aware of the expectations.
what we have:
We have a Pool Table, giant chess and Ping Pong.
There’s a projector with a cranking sound system to play tunes, a fully equipped kitchen and free internet!
We provide daily afternoon tea for the youth to enjoy and of course a wide variety of snacks (noodles, ice blocks and drinks) for youth to purchase.
the loft membership:
We ask all youth to sign up as a member first so they can come in and chill out at The Loft and have an awesome time while being in a safe and supportive environment!
We love seeing new faces every day and The Loft drop-in is inclusive of all young people who attend school; being in school years 9 and up.
We have a FREE membership form which we encourage parents to fill in and discuss with their youth so they know what we do and what is expected of the youth when they attend The Loft.
Youth can still attend if they are a non-member, this form just assists us to know who to contact in case of an emergency and also gives members a chance to sign up to an activity before it is promoted through schools, facebook, email, etc.
